{"id":1784,"date":"2026-09-17T08:00:28","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T08:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/careers.stjulies.org.uk\/?p=1784"},"modified":"2026-09-17T08:00:28","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T08:00:28","slug":"leeds-beckett-university-offers-free-medicine-work-experience-for-students-age-14-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/careers.stjulies.org.uk\/index.php\/2026\/09\/17\/leeds-beckett-university-offers-free-medicine-work-experience-for-students-age-14-18\/","title":{"rendered":"Leeds Beckett University offers free medicine work experience for students age 14-18"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Leeds Beckett University offers free medicine work experience for students age 14-18<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">October is Future Doctors Month and anyone aged 14-18 who is considering medicine as a career is invited to check out their website for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme offers four online live sessions as outlined below:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>11 October<\/strong> \u2014 A&amp;E: Can You Save the Patient?<br>Students assess an emergency patient and decide what should happen next. \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>18 October<\/strong> \u2014 Inside the Operating Theatre: Anaesthetics<br>Explore anaesthesia, airway management, monitoring and how patients are kept safe during surgery. \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>25 October<\/strong> \u2014 The Diagnosis Challenge: Medical Detective<br>Students investigate a mystery patient, interpret the evidence and work towards a diagnosis. \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1 November<\/strong> \u2014 Outbreak: Can You Stop the Spread?<br>Investigate an infectious disease outbreak and make clinical and public-health decisions. \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All sessions are live online at 2pm UK time and recordings will be available afterwards, so students don&#8217;t need to attend live. \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the programme, students can take our Future Doctors Knowledge Test, with those achieving 80% or above receiving a personalised certificate. \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s completely free and students only need to register once for all four sessions. \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/88qc8.r.a.d.sendibm1.com\/mk\/cl\/f\/sh\/6rqJfgq8dINmO1hCYbWWlswCKZg\/-M0yTGBPGDMu\">Register free for Future Doctors Month<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/88qc8.r.a.d.sendibm1.com\/mk\/cl\/f\/sh\/6rqJfgq8dIPRQTzM2uw4hU47xsi\/owJuN6Zkuuog\">www.premedprojects.co.uk\/free<\/a> \u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leeds Beckett University offers free medicine work experience for students age 14-18 October is Future Doctors Month and anyone aged 14-18 who is considering medicine as a career is invited to check out their website for more information.
