The Role
Joining us as a Software Engineering Apprentice, you\u2019ll have the opportunity to learn from software delivery teams that will offer you a unique insight into the work of the intelligence agencies. Through a variety of placements with your fellow apprentices, you\u2019ll help to build technology that catches criminals and improves our ability to tackle threats. Our work is constantly evolving, so you will too. Over the course of the three years, you\u2019ll become familiar with some of the world\u2019s most sophisticated electronic equipment and gain practical expertise that simply isn\u2019t available anywhere else. What\u2019s more, in addition to the hands-on experience you\u2019ll receive, we\u2019ll support you fully as you work towards a BSc Honours Degree in Digital and Technology Solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
About You
We don\u2019t expect you to know everything \u2013 in fact, we\u2019re looking for people who want to learn. But you should have a genuine interest in programming, problem solving or technology. You\u2019ll also need (or expect to have by September 2022) 72 UCAS points, and a minimum GCSE grade 4\/C in English Language and maths \u2013 or equivalent functional skills (level 2). You might also have some understanding of JavaScript, data storage technology or cloud technology \u2013 although it is definitely not essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
