Each year World Cancer Day is observed to increase awareness of the disease, symptoms and ways to prevent it. The event aims to focus and celebrate the more positive side of the progress we are making in research, and how much this impacts the increase in survival rate.
The purpose of the day is to inspire young people to think about a career in Medical Sciences and speak to current medical students.
