Every year, talented STEM students explore their options after school or college, often considering careers in medicine, engineering and technology. Yet many are unaware of the opportunities available in optometry, a profession that combines science, technology and patient care.
The Specsavers Bright Stars Scholarship is designed to support exceptional students on their journey into optometry, helping to remove financial barriers while providing valuable professional experience throughout university.
Students selected for the scholarship will receive:
- £10,000 towards university costs spread across four years (five years in Scotland)
- Paid work experience in a Specsavers practice
- Ongoing mentorship from experienced colleagues
- Protected learning opportunities
- Access to a community of like-minded students
